After reading the Bible I've come to the conclusion that G-d is actually pro-abortion. Especially for those not lucky enough to be born a certain culture. Lucky for me though...

Well I'm a Gentile, but we can still be friends. In fact I have tons of Jewish friends, but none are pious Orthodox. This is exciting for me.

First we have to get past the point where any woman can have children whenever she wants. There is absolutely no current social pressure for women to delay a pregnancy until the child can be provided for outside government aid.

It's interesting to me that the evolution of society and technology regularly requires us to revaluate and change our ideas of morality.

Wut? The morals we're seeing today have always been present. They've simply come to the fore as "traditional" morals have been suppressed, but not eliminated. History shows that morals and mores within societies ebb and flow.

E. Should be legal for only the first 9 weeks when you can use chemical abortion. Surgical abortion is disgusting and wrong. 9 weeks is plenty of time to make a decision.

E. At Conception. Abortion is killing a life. Period. I don't like it, but I understand that with our current population and demographics along with growing technological advancements taking over manual labor jobs, people who can't afford kids need a way to control their population growth or else we'll just end up with generations of poverty, welfare, and broken homes.

Your options don't really fit my views on abortion. Personally, I'm against it. It's not an option that would ever be on the table were I a party to an unwanted pregnancy. I think it is morally wrong, but everyone has different morals. If a woman chooses to have one, that's her cross to bear. I won't celebrate her decision nor will I condemn her for her decision. When life begins is inconsequential to my views on abortion.

What would you do if you got your wife/girlfriend pregnant and she was adamant about aborting the fetus?

Do you believe that men who want a child in such a situation should have any legal recourse?

Many women don't find out that they're pregnant until well after 9 weeks.

Hard to say without actually being in that situation, but I would probably advocate for adoption. Ultimately I would let her decide and support her decision.

I'm torn on the legal rights question. I lean yes, but it seems kind of shitty to force a woman to carry a pregnancy she doesn't want to term. But then, if it's a man that doesn't want to see a pregnancy carried to term, but the woman does, he is still obligated to support that baby.

THey have to be retarded. If you're late on a period by a couple weeks you should get a pregnancy test..my GF got pregnant on accident and the signs were pretty obvious before she got a test, I already knew she was.

What sucked is she had to have a chemical (the pill) abortion because she had just went through cervical cancer and had surgery and it wasn't healed yet and the dr said it was very risky to carry at that time and could cause major problems and would likely end in miscarriage anyways. That was at 6 weeks in

I disagree. Some women have very irregular periods. Some may go months between them. Some don't get any of the early pregnancy symptoms.

I have a friend who is far from retarded and she didn't find out until she was around 24 weeks. No morning sickness, no weight gain, still had a period.

It's possible and far more common than you think.

Not buying it. If I were a woman I'd know pretty much instantly if I were pregnant.

But you're not a woman. All women's bodies work differently. It's just not as simple as guys make it out to be.

For the pro-aborters, if a drunk driver kills a pregnant woman, should the state be able to charge him with double vehicular homicide?

Yeah, most people don't know within a week or two, contrary to the beliefs on this board. Particularly if they weren't trying to get pregnant.
