Yea I agree with both things. I definitely think they'll hold Michel out until he is ready either way (as they should), he's gonna be taking hits as a RB so that scapula needs to be healed. I think Richt said they're doing x-rays again this week to follow up

I hope they hold Sony. We don't need him to beat the Gators but we are going to need him later down the road.

He'll play against UF, most likely
He should be a solid reliever behind Chubb.

When does the NCAA respond? Today? Tomorrow? Next Thursday?

Gurley should start. Chubb should get a standing ovation when he comes in.
People who are pissed at Gurley and want to see him punished more are utter fools.
Wouldn't surprise me a bit if TGII asked Richt to let Chubb have the 1st series just so TG could honor NC & his teammates for what they've done the last two weeks & how they've supported him...

The "Gurley screwed his team and broke rules" argument for starting Chubb shows a remarkable lack of grasping reality. Did Todd break a rule? Yes. Is there a superstar on ANY team in America who hasn't broken the same rule? Id bet anything you want that the answer is no.
Its really easy to sit on your moral high ground and throw rocks. Leads me to wonder if people who use this argument understand their own hypocrisy.

You have no idea if that is true or not. You choose to believe it to help justify what Gurley did. I bet the number of "superstars" is very limited that actually choose to deal with memorabilia scum bags for the risk it is taking. It isn't throwing rocks in any way. It is a simply acknowledgement of the truth not a judgment.
The greater argument for starting Chubb is without him we would have been hosed the last two games. He has stepped healthy and earned the starting spot by following the rules.

Not to mention that Gurley has (presumably) already served his time. The punishment must fit the crime. If CMR is ready to put a guy on the field from a moral/ethical standpoint, then everybody else should be as well.

And without Gurley we would've been hosed in plenty of games in the past. Starting him isn't a slight at all on Chubb. It's just using common sense. He's done his time (hopefully it's all done).

I don't think there is a specific time frame or restriction

I don't think anybody is saying Gurley shouldn't play and take most of the snaps. A few, myself including, could see a justification for STARTING Chubb.
Posted on 10/22/14 at 5:23 pm to dallasga6
Ugh that sucks about Marshall. Honestly I hate it more for him than I do for the team. He's a DGD and has really had to go through some shite injury-wise during his time in Athens. I'm sure that has to be weighing on him mentally, especially seeing freshman passing him etc.

Hypothetically, what would happen if we started Chubb, go 3 and out and they get good field position.....
95% of fans would be bitching about how Bobo screwed us and he was stupid, etc

Are people really arguing about whether or not we should start Gurley? He's the best player in the nation and he starts. Period. Chubb is a team player and he will be ready when he is called upon and I know he won't be upset to be 2nd string to Gurley
Posted on 10/22/14 at 6:48 pm to MSGADawg5988
honestly...how about we take a jelly doughnut approach...Gurley to get things rolling from the get go,,,and Gurley with fresh legs to finish the race in the 4th...Chubb in the 2nd and 3rd quarters with the bulldozer runs to wear down Florida's defensive line...jelly all the way....I could be a Genius....my god.....I need to have that checked out...
Damn,,now I want krispy kreme..
