So let's just venture back to Week 9 of last year and see how bad the panic would ensue then versus now. It happens every year, and every year people proclaim THIS is the year there will be so many undefeateds, so many 1 loss teams, that there will never be a true champion.

2014 Week 9:
1. Miss St. (6-0)
2. FSU (7-0)
3. Ole Miss (7-0)
4. Alabama (6-1)
5. Auburn (5-1)
6. Oregon (6-1)
7. Notre Dame (6-1)
8. Michigan State (6-1)
9. Georgia (6-1)
10. TCU (6-1)
11. Kansas State (5-1)

2013 Week 9:
1. Alabama (7-0)
2. FSU (6-0)
3. Oregon (7-0)
4. Ohio State (7-0)
5. Missouri (7-0)
6. Stanford (6-1)
7. Miami (6-0)
8. Baylor (6-0)

Look at that. Imagine how bad people would be freaking out if the picture looked like that right now.

"Sure Alabama would get in, but what about Mizzou if they only lose by a little to Alabama in the SECCG!",

"What about Baylor, they're undefeated and are looking like they're going to win the Big 12!"

"Ohio State deserves to be there! Urban Meyer is back!"

"FSU is undefeated!!"

See how ridiculous it sounds? All of that settled itself out completely by the end of the conference championship weekend. It always does. We should actually consider ourselves lucky that there are so few undefeated teams left this year.

The point is, teams lose. And many, many losses will happen in the top 25 before this is over. It's far more likely that teams have two losses by the end of the year than it is one loss. Basically those 11 teams listed are going to occupy 4 spots in the playoff. Do you really suspect that none of them will lose any games? In fact, TCU/Kansas State, Alabama/Auburn, Miss. St./Ole Miss, SECWW/Georgia ALL have to lose one more game. The field will be getting thinner and thinner by the week and the playoff picture will become clear. Whether or not it's a second SEC team with one loss, or a one loss conference champion from the Big 10/Big 12, it will be clear who is in and who is out. It always is.

good chance there will only be one that would make the playoff. ND will probably lose. Bama & Auburn will eliminate the other. Big 12 is likely out as well as the BIG 10. Pac 10 will have to hope Oregon doesn't lose.

Hell this could be the year for a 2 loss team to make the playoff.

No shite. It's called "speculation" for a reason.

No one thinks they can predict who will be in the CFB Playoff. Right now we're all just speculating.

I feel like this is just a way for you to make yourself feel better about Bama's chances to make it in.
