You think maybe FSU knows the Winston autograph situation may lead. To some suspension but they are waiting until they have some non competitive games to "reveal their findings" as to not risk losing? Basically, managing it to be favorable to their schedule. I know I'm giving the slime balls a lot of credit for doing anything about it at all. Just thinking out loud....

Naw.....FSU just doesn't have to suspend during investigations like the rest of the schools...

My guess is it's a another case similar to Manziel's of don't ask, don't tell. FSU is not asking Winston if he took any money and his lawyer is damn sure advising him not to volunteer any information.

Contrast that with A.J. Green who freely admitted that he was compensated and provided the NCAA with his bank account records if I remember correctly and Gurley who has allegedly also admitted to taking money for autographed memorabilia.

FSU is playing the USC game. Win the NC and when the NCAA yanks the title and money they can still claim they "won it on the field." Then they can tell recruits (whispering) "There's plenty of money. Just never admit anything."

That makes no sense. All wins would be forfeited, so what's the point?

You can take the wins off the book but they're still there.

That's even worse as it would knock them out of any playoff picture. Can you imagine us playing TG only to find the NCAA ruled him as playing illegally? Would knock us out of SEC race and possibly coat scholarships, etc. would that be worth it?

The wins wouldn't come off for another two years...the NCAA doesnt get in a hurry to clear players until the Natty is at stake

If you say so.

I was implying he would serve suspension at a more favorable time in the schedule rather than the ND game. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that.

The bigger question would be when does the clock start on fsu concerning this? Is it when they started their own investigation or when/if reporting to NCAA is done?

Cam was suspend for 24 hours before he played for the championship.....he played the entire season with all the accusations that he was played to play.Everybody knows his dad got the cash though it couldn't be proved...the NCAA was blind to the fact and didn't want to know.....not only my opinion by the way....

They'll be no reporting..Winston says he wasn't paid,Jumbo says he believes him cause there is no proof

I see your point. But let's just say something comes out in a couple of weeks and the NCAA says we found this... So, would it be sort of a retroactive thing? Not arguing but just trying to picture NCAA thinking...

Is Allen talking to the university or the NCAA? If not who really cares how much Gurley was paid. It's been leaked he was paid $400.00,that's a one game suspension by NCAA by laws..Put him on the field

Technically the clock starts when the NCAA notifies the school they are looking into it. But if the school voluntarily suspends a player the NCAA is more lenient with penalties.
