Once again thanks for letting me post on your board eventhough it took a little over a year.

Predictions? Any ooc games you are excited about?

Young, probably lacking shooting.

I think it would be a good year to finish in the top half of the SEC and get on the tournament bubble.

Agree with this. All of our talent are FR and SO. If Post has a breakout year then we may be a bubble team. If he doesn't then we will be pretty meh down low and be lucky to reach .500. This team will be more fun to watch though than any recently so I am actually pretty excited.

Team of masonry specialists this year.

We'll be "hard-nosed" and "leave it all on the floor" and show a lot of "pluck" and "effort." With a little work, we may even get a "fundamentally sound" or two. We may "surprise" some teams at Mizzou arena. But we aren't gonna do much of anything, really.

Next year. Swear to God.

As long as they play hard and actually get after it on defense I'll be pleased. I hated watching Haith's teams, aside from the first one.

KA is going to build a winner. May take a couple of years, but he will

Pretty much what everyone else has said. Solid young talent in this incoming class. A couple solid young players that will be sophomores. Not much else.

As for making the tournament, I'm not as hopeful as my fellow Tigers fans. I think we'll be doing good to make the NIT. We have our best OOC schedule in years, but probably not a good year for it when it comes to a W/L record. Highlights of Arizona(Maui), KSU/Purdue(Maui), @OU, Xavier, Illinois(St. Louis) and Okie State(Kansas City).

Much more talented but hopefully less coached teams finished 5th and 6th in the SEC. I suspect we'll hover somewhere around 7th in the SEC. I think we are hopeful that KA will do at MU what y'all hope MA will do at Arky and restore the program to some resemblance of the good old days and as you've seen, that doesn't happen overnight.

On the court, we have some young talent at the SF spot. Some outside guys that are better attacking the rim than shooting it. The inside game returns absolutely zero production but that's not an indictment on the players but on Haith. Haith never used them, other than to set screens outside the 3 point line. No touches down low. The new system under KA will change that. Having said that, I'd be shocked if we are anywhere near the top half of the conference in any offensive stats. The team will win and lose with their defensive work, more of a team approach and being scrappy.

Bottom line is my happiness levels with this year team will not be determined by the W/L columns but just by how the team plays and buys into the system overall.

I would like to think the tigers are in the second tier of a weak SEC. Also with 60 something teams getting in the tourney I don't think it's unreasonable at all to make the tourney in year one. Love our schedule as it provides us toughness heading into conference for a young squad. Also think Shamburger as a senior at point and Wes Clarke having another year to mature can only be a positive at the 1 position. We've got the components to be pretty decent, they just need to be molded. Something Haith had no clue how to do.
