What does LSU ticket prices and the football team have in common?

They are both in decline.

Looks like college football is trending down though. I think building all of these huge stadiums is a bad idea. In 20 years, sitting at home will be the obvious choice, and football will be two hand touch.

aTm has to reach a point of relevance as a program before they'll ever have the opportunity to decline, I guess.

I have a cousin who is a UGA grad and extremely well hooked into the UGA administration. This summer the athletic department had a meeting with a number of alums and advisors and discussed raising ticket prices. He was one of the attendees.
Not because UGA needed the money per se, but exactly because of this kind of data. They felt they were leaving money on the table by not raising prices.

This is exactly how Georgia ticket prices when up this year.

aTm must first reach an incline before the decline can take place; yall are safe, no chance of a decline in the near future.

You should ETA your OP to say that's secondary market prices, not face.

Im pretty sure this ranking list is tracking ticket values on secondary markets. Ohio State is not profiting, ticket holders are.

My point. That is why it is stupid. Too many variables to even compare. Quantity available, location, opponent, and so many others. For instance, on stubhub last week, I saw upper deck going for 200 minimum but there were standing room for 50. Gridiron Club were going for 1750. Lower deck were 300 to 800.

LSU's record in 2012 10-3
LSU's record in 2013 10-3
LSU's record in 2014 ?

Texas A&M's record in 2012 11-2
Texas A&M's record in 2013 9-4
Texas A&M's record in 2014?

I won't dispute that you know something about decline Aggie but look in the fricking mirror. LSU has won 4 conference championships and 2 national championships since you guys won a championship of any kind back in the old Longhorn conference.

You overlooked the volume effect.

Huge difference between selling 60,000 tickes and selling 100,000+ tickets.
