Per Richt

quote:

Tailback Keith Marshall isn't likely to be ready to play Saturday, as he continues to work back from a sprained ankle and knee. Marshall, who hasn't played since getting hurt against Troy, hasn't officially been ruled out yet. But head coach Mark Richt admitted he was "not really optimistic" Marshall would be full speed by Saturday. "He's getting some work but my best guess is that he probably won't be ready by the time we play," Richt said. "Things could change but right this minute I'd say probably not."

Reall hoping he can get back healthy soon. He needs to get some confidence back. He didn't look like himself early in the season which is entirely understandable. Hopefully he can break a big play at some point and get it back.

A big part of it will be using him more effectively too. He isn't the type of back that runs the same plays as Gurley. He needs the ball in space, of course the suicide swing plays should probably be scratched too...but that wheel route needs to be kept in Bobo's back pocket to pull out at the right time

Keith Marshall, who earlier in the day Richt indicated is doubtful, was dressed out for today's practice.

He was in a green jersey though I think. Richt said he has been running straight ahead but I think the cuts have been more of the concern. Would love to be wrong though!

Marshall looked so ineffective when he did play earlier this year that I don't hold out hope for him being a factor this season. After Gurley, I'm a lot more excited about getting Michel back, which sounds about 75-80% by the Florida game.

Him and Gurley practiced today. But I guess he still doesn't expect Marshall to play

I'd like to see Marshall back with McKenzie on KOs and punts.

J.J. Green did work at tailback today, Mike Bobo said.

Story: Georgia moves J.J. Green back to tailback, which isn't a great sign for Gurley being eligible this week.
