Per the stats...

Tennesse has a top ten pass defense nationally.
Middle of the road rush defense.
Top 25 defense overall.

Horrible rushing game around 110th nationally, but then again we can't talk much in that category.
Middle of the road receiving...however, this one really caught my eye.

We have 4 WRs (Engram included there) with more yards than their leading WR North. They do have some "physical mismatches" however in that North is 6'4 big frame and Croom from Norcross GA is a big boy at 6'5 230ish vs our shorter DBs in Hilton and Golson.

Based on 1 game of theirs I watched for the most part, Hurd their RB is a thick bruiser that can cut. Runs like a more matured Wilkins IMO.

Hurd their RB

last i hurd (ha get it) he was gonna be out until after our game. Got hurt against UF i believe

Edit: Well after reading UTs board looks like they expect Hurd to be good to go. I really dont think it makes much of a difference

They'll score 2 fg throughout the game and a trash TD... We will Show them a passing attack that they haven't seen before and put up somewhere in the mid 30's

Hurd is a hoss, but their OL is going to get prison raped in the worst of ways

Add in homefield advantage and we have a good showing by the Rebs....

But beyond just that I just dont see how they can expect to move the ball consistently against our D. I mean they lost to UF 10-9 in Knoxville.

I see us winning to the tune of like 31-6 or so

They've given up 19 sacks in the last 4 games. That O-line is bad. Land Sharks gonna get their Haynes on Worley. (sorry)

Haha yes. Take them out of it early and hope to see much player rotation in this game. Saw Christian Russell making some tackles last night! Also, Youngblood seems to be developing well both as a player and a presence on the team.

This is the best WR group they've faced and easily the best passing offense they've seen all year. We will be able to run on them too.

I don't see their offense scoring on OM.
24-10 seems like the right score. Bigger blowout, if OM forces turnovers.

Steve Kiner, a LB for Tennessee, said that our offense played like a bunch of mules. Tennessee was top ranked at the time and had to us in Jackson. Archie went off and we won 38-0 and it became known as the "mule game".

That was also the game where UT fans wore "Archie Who?" buttons. Thus the "Bad Bo Who?" reference.

History lesson.

The "Bad Bo" stuff iritates me. Does Dak throwing 2 INT's Saturday make him "Bad Dak"?

It made for good TV talk for a while, but I think it should be done now.

Bo is who he is now. He's good enough to let our defense win.

Already played Utah State, Ark State, and Chattanooga so those stats may be inflated. Should have saved a cupcake for late. However, this is a classic trap game, but I'm not sure our team is susceptible to that. I think we rush four and get plenty pressure on qb. He will have to have the very hot hand to make it close. Think we rush the ball ok (150 yds +) and win. Would like to see fewer Bo planned runs and let the rb's get going. Maybe part of our rushing problem is that we spread runs w/ four guys and run Bo and pass and they just never get a rhythm.

Pig Howard is actually our leading WR and was last year as well. North is beastly but he's been covered all year and without Von Pearson (injured first game but should play against OM) and Josh Smith (injured @Oklahoma still questionable) on the field with him it's been difficult.

Josh Malone is improving greatly and will eventually be a force but he's still a true frosh and his first start was at UGA. Jason Croom has been playing a lot better since the Oklahoma game where he had critical mistakes (he let an INT sail right through his hands but he was also playing with broken bones in his left hand).

However the real problem for North and the rest of our WR corps this year has been that opponents only need to rush 3 in order to pressure and/or sack the QB. That leaves everyone covered up with defenses blanketing the WRs. Our oline sucks that bad.

That doesn't bode well for y'all against us. We've rushed 4-5 at most against every team we've played and gotten consistent pressure. It's part of why our secondary is excelling so much.

I feel like Haynes has a big day. 3-4 sacks.

Which would, scarily bring his season total to 7-8.
