Unfortunately, it seems life sentences are more prevalent now.

If life sentences were truly life sentences, I'd be okay with it. But when "life" sentences still have the chance of parole, its an injustice to the victim's family.

Why should we provide food, shelter, and medical care for that piece of human trash?

If you are 18 or older at the time of the crime and are convicted of capital murder in Alabama the only sentencing options are death penalty or life without parole.

What's really an injustice is they reap no reward other than vengeance. Let those that are convicted choose life in a labor camp, where money is given to the victims' family, or death. Money doesn't bring them back, but at least it's something.

My wife has had two best friends murdered. One hasn't been caught, the other got 40 years in Texas. To me, that is a huge injustice. There are two boys who will never see their mother again, and the guy who dd it will be out before their kids graduate college most likely. In my and, if you kill someone while intending to commit a violent crime...it should be death.

Because it's cheaper than the death penalty.

Should not matter when it comes to justice. It would be cheaper to drop a couple nukes on the middle east and be done, but that's not true justice.

Eye for an eye. Those two thugs didn't take my friend's freedom, they took their life.
