Georgia Tech actually had a better record than Colorado that year. Georgia Tech was 11-0-1 and Colorado was 11-1-1. Since Colorado was already ranked #1 going into their bowl game, I was surprised that the Coaches Poll decided to jump Georgia Tech above them in the final poll.
