LSU's defense is giving up about 570 yards a game through their first two SEC games

Talent wise... Not the worst.

Coaching / scheme / execution wise... Feels like it

it is approaching 98-99 level bad for this defense. our dline is a complete waste of space on the field. no heart and no pride from the coaches on down.

Doesn't help that your offense can't keep them off the field.

So does that mean the great John Chavis is mostly to blame?

Sadly, it's worse than it looks. MSU and Auburn took their feet off the gas. Auburn could have named their score last night.

No. It's the players not the scheme on defense.

I have said it for a while chavis has been passed by the game. He needs to hang it up. We also need a new s&c program

The defense was on the field all night.
Not a bad defense. But not great

And that number is only going to rise. No more Sam Houston or New Mexico States.

What was the worst defense in SEC history...or NCAA history?

Come on man. They were terrible the first three drives. You mean to tell me they were tired then?

Our defense is awful. AWFUL. Yep, The personnel.

Early 90s was worse than Tepper, IMO. The last years of Archer were the worst teams LSU has ever had.

so giving up 600 yards a game means chief should stay? our team is fricking weak, Moffit is no longer the greatest s&c coach.

Do you even take into account all the players that we have lost to the draft the last 3 years?

When did you expect us not to finally take a hit?

No... The offensive scheme sucks causing the young defense
to be on the field to long... Les and the chief have been left behind.

we need our players to get a little older and our coaches to get a little younger and more creative!!!
