We lost too much on defense last year to replace the gains on offense. I was hoping the defense would finally start pulling together, after the missouri game (they did really well for 3 and 1/2 quarters,) but our defense looked like garbage against kentucky. We couldn't figure out how to stop a wildcat RB who ran the same play 12 times. Dixon Jr and Lamin were totally overwhelmed. They weren't strong enough to force the OL to close gaps.

We abandoned the run when we had a RB avg'ing 8 ypc with over 20 carries, are you fricking serious?!?!

Shaq Roland missed the flight. WTF?!?!

This year is a waste and it's only use is building to next year.

IMO:

Go ahead and get Connor Mitch snaps. The talk about Orth possibly being #2 is bullshite, Mitch is the future at QB.

Get David Williams 5-10 snaps a game. Davis had a great game last night, but he'll need more if he's going to get drafted. Wilds has no shot of being drafted right now, and Carson should be back. However, I read that all 3 are looking to leave.

Waldrop and Matulis can't get back soon enough. Shell hasn't shown enough this season to make me think he's going to leave early, so we should be return 4 guys on the OL with starting experience.

The new DE's will probably take over the 2 deep this summer. That will be ecstatically welcomed by all.

I don't know who's going to start at DT, but hopefully we'll give Stallworth more looks.

All the LB's should be back with more experience, hopefully getting their arse kicked for a year will inspire them to train harder this offseason and also to become film room junkies.

The DB's all played really poorly for most of this season, but I'll chalk that up to youth. So hopefully they'll play better and we have Mark Fields on the way.

Then we'll have one of the best punters in the SEC come in with Charlton.

Overall, I think we need to get the guys we think are going to be here next year ready and more experienced.

I agree Mitch should be getting snaps.

I doubt it happens though.

Us sucking means we shouldn't suffer too much attrition to the NFL on offense. Davis is the only person who should be thinking a/b leaving. Roland, Shell, and Wilds would be crazy to jump.

Shell staying would be awesome.

Given the trend for players to go pro early though I doubt he stays. And I'm thinking Roland is gone as well even though he won't get drafted.

I wish.

Spurrier doesn't yank QBs anymore. He's gotten too complacent after how good Connor was. He is going to ride Thompson and our team into the ground before any changes are made. There hasn't been any improvement and it's sickening. Losing like this is fricking unacceptable.

I think it might have something to do with all the criticism he took after he yanked Garcia for Shaw @Auburn in 2010 and started Shaw over Garcia against ECU in 2011.

He kept Garcia as the starter for too long in 2011 and hes kept Thompson as the starter for too long this season.

I wouldn't think Spurrier could be affected by something like that, but then again I didn't think he'd be so stubborn that he'd rather take losses throwing the ball than wins running the ball
