I will never forgive Hallman for ruining my enjoyment of LSU football during my early teen years.
I was 14 at the time, and even I knew all we had to do was run the ball and play defense and we win.

Also found on the War Eagle Reader website is a pic from, "The Night the Barn Burned" during the 1996 Auburn-LSU game along with video. I really think this series deserves it's own 30 for 30. I can't think of another that's had so much craziness happen DURING the games

Not only that. How in HELLLLLLLLLL do you go into the 4th quarter
* Leading 23-9,
* Auburn starting QB Nix injured,
* Freshman Dameyune Craig taking his place - deep
in Auburn territory,
And......you LOSE ?????????
Not just Hallman but OC Lynn Amedee should have both been fired on the field after the game.
With a 23-9 lead in the 4th quarter and clearly Auburn not going anywhere on offense, all we had to do was handoff over and over, punt a few times, hand off some more, game over.
But no..........
The unmitigated worst coaching of any sport at any level at any time since the Big Bang.....

I will never forget that game. I watched it with a bunch of FSU buddies. They were giving me hell most of the game. On the pick six that put Auburn ahead, they all got up and walked outside. Not a one of them said a word.

Funny thing is...Les tried to pull a Curley in 2007. They just didn't execute the INT right.
