Women's hoops blocks graduate student transfer
Yeah it's women's basketball, but on the surface this sure doesn't look good for UA.

Usually this sort of thing is only done when one side is conviced the other recruited under the table.
Similar to what happened with Justin Knox and his cancelled transfer to UAB after Mike Davis was making illegal but unprovable contact with Knox in a plan to get him to Birmingham.
Its disappointing that UA is going to block her transfer just because UA Womens hoops has been a dumpster fire for a long time. Its not worth the bad press to block someone who has already transferred to UA from Rutgers from leaving for Seton Hall.

Simmons would have played a huge role this season, so she definitely screwed Curry in that she wasn't able to be replaced during recruiting. Curry needs to do the right thing and rectify the situation though. This could potentially hurt recruiting down the road.

How could she have played if she wasn't accepted into the UA grad program she applied to?

The university would have either put her in a specially masters business program or in a different concentration altogether. Without a 600 or better on the GMAT, she never had a shot at the MBA program.

Yes, this needs fixing before it brings down both basketball programs. :sarcasm:

If she wants to enter MBA and Bama did not accept her then that's just totally unfair for them to hold her hostage.

Daniel Moore lawsuit, their handling of the discriminatory allegations in sorority rush last year, water situation at BDS a couple of weeks ago, not allowing club teams to use the Alabama logo on their jerseys, etc.

No university should EVER block the transfer of an athlete. This is ridiculous.

It looks like it may get worse if a former player talks about how bad things are like she's threatening to on twitter.
