I know the rant will point out that they lost big to the only team they have played with a pulse, and that they have given up 49 points to the weakest cupcakes in D-1 football.

But I think they have a decent outside chance of upsetting us if we turn the ball over 5 or more times. Therefore I think it's appropriate to hedge my allegiances to appease the rant posters that have been in hiding the last 2 seasons.

Please be gentle if we fumble 5 or more times

Auburn
Nicholls
Texas Tech
Northern Illinois

Scar
Lamar
Rice
SMU

One of these lists is not like the other. I think you got the increased stats against worst cupcakes mixed up.

I thought Arkansas would have a shot until I saw North Texas trounce Nicholls State yesterday and a sloppy Auburn team on Thursday night (who is still a good team, I just mistakenly thought they were much more solid).

I moved Arkansas back down to a solid 6th in the West with their only chance at a win against LSU. A&M rolls.

Texas Tech 28 points allowed
Northern Illinois 14 points allowed

Scar 28 Points allowed.

You gave up 500 yards to Rice, Northern Illinois has a much better defense than aggy and we hung 52 on them.

Games are own or lost on POINTS. No wonder you guys struggle to keep up, yards don't count on the scoreboard

Let's see:

-#13 South Carolina is 3-1 with wins over #12 and #23
-Lamar is 3-1, beating their other opponents by an average of 44 points.
-Rice is 0-3 having lost to the #8 team by 31, the #6 team by 28, and ODU by 3.
-SMU is probably the worst team in FBS

-#5 Auburn beat Arkansas by 21, SJSU by 49, and barely beat #25 Kansas State by 6
-Nicholls may be the worst team in FCS, allowing over 55 points per game and scoring only 9 points per game
-Texas Tech: Congratulations, you outscored CENTRAL ARKANSAS by 2 touchdowns against Texas Tech. 2nd worst rush defense in college football. #6 pass defense...because you don't have to throw a pass to beat them
-Northern Illinois. I'll give you this one. Probably the 5th best mid-major behind BYU, East Carolina, Boise State, and Marshall

You act like your defense was responsible for keeping Rice out of the end zone.

Then I am certain the pigs will drop 70+ on poor Aggy.

Really? Let's run the numbers:

Scoring Defense:

A&M - 8th
Arkansas - 55th
NIU - 79th

Rush Defense:

NIU - 31st
A&M - 42nd
Arkansas - 58th

Pass Defense:

A&M - 60th
Arkansas - 69th
NIU - 78th

Total Defense:

A&M - 42nd
NIU - 50th
Arkansas - 57th

Arkansas may score between 24-30, but A&M will do whatever they want whenever they want on offense.

They only reached the red zone twice. Both times they were stuffed inside the 10 and had to attempt a FG.

Arkansas will beat A&M by 10+ points. It will be a high scoring affair

Sounds like they just didn't execute on offense. When you give up 500 yards to a team like RICE, it's hard to say you "stuffed" them.
