No we can't fire anyone. Ray goff automatically takes over the program if we do.

Yea, he's obviously recruited poorly in the 6 months he has been with us.

If a man was smart he would realize that anytime we are favored on the road in a game that means something that it is like going to the ATM with a billionaires debit card and PIN....Richt and company shouldn't be fired...they should be paid even more for the consistency they have proven capable of providing in such circumstances....
Seriously, no one needs to be fired....but everyone should be asking why we don't over achieve every once in a while? The problem is that we only have two ends of the spectrum...fire everyone or accept mediocrity. The people who finance the program ain't firing anyone because the system is far from broken....and they aren't going to insist on any significant improvement until the system is broken....and they have shown time and again that mediocrity, as well as a win against Tech, is perfectly acceptable. Why would an employee put forth any extra effort when all they know is the boss is satisfied?

From what I've seen, fans either:
1) love richt because he is either a) a great coach, b) a great person or c) a combination of the 2
2) are content with richt because a) there is no possible way that someone else could get us over the hump or b) the program would be destroyed if richt was fired
3) want richt fired yesterday
If fans out there think richt is a great coach, then that's fine. But if you fall into camp #2, then I just think you're a total pussy. And this is coming from a liberal pussy.

Yeah he's been there for 6 months, and he said himself he wasn't happy with the existing talent at DB. Give him some time, dude.
This isn't Grantham - this guy has been a coach on the last 3 national championship winning teams. He's a proven winner.

Not only do I think Pruitt's defense will improve drastically as the season goes on but even more drastically from year 1 to year 2. In his first full recruiting cycle he has put together what is (so far) one, if not the, best recruiting classes defensively that we have ever had. We got screwed big time with the departures this off-season and hes pretty much just doing a patch job right now. If he stays longer than 3 years and is able to develop depth with the players he wants, our defense will be top 5 every year.
He actually coached at my high school and I can remember the coaches and even the students knowing that he would go on to do big things.

No swinging big deck this week, I noticed, but it will be back. It's only the second game under a new coordinator with inexperienced kids.

Get Richt to step down, move Bobo into the HC position with Pruitt at DC, use extra money for IPF and more staff to watch/help kids make good decisions, bam National Championship Bitches. The Team needs young blood injected into its old arse veins.
