Are Auburn Fans also big Panthers Fans?

If you read Texags, every Aggie is a giant Browns fan, has a Manziel Browns jersey, and the Browns are their new favorite NFL team.
I don't really remember Auburn fans reacting this way when Cam was drafted by the Panthers, and Cam even brought Auburn a national championship.
Why is it different with Aggies regarding Manziel in the pros and Auburn fans regarding Newton pros?

Most auburn fans I know follow nfl players, not really the teams.

A lot of Auburn fans did start cheering for the Panthers.
We don't really have a team to root for in Alabama.
Panthers are probably my second favorite team (as long as Cam is there). First is my fantasy team

I'm from Atlanta so I guess I'm a Falcons fan, but I have a Panthers Cam shirt and I watch their games occasionally

Since the year before the BCS began, Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn and Georgia have all had quarterbacks taken No. 1. In addition, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Arkansas (I guess Matt Jones counts) and Florida have had quarterbacks taken in the first round.
I don't think most of them give a shite about their old QB's new NFL team, but root for the player instead. I.E. I like to see the Giants win Super Bowls, not because I like the team but more for the fact I can troll my friends of different schools that Elisha has two rings.
