Many people, including most LSU fans were concerned about how LSU was going to do in the passing department. When opponents stacked the box (which they did), would LSU be able to throw at all with a new QB and all new WRs?

Well, it wasn't what Kenny Hill did. But I was very pleased with the performance of TD (cool inits huh?), Diarse, and Quinn. Opposing DCs will have to plan for LSU's passing attack, not just stack the box.

LSU's passing attack

He had a 40% completion rate.

Wisconsin did lose 2 DL, and only then LSU's running game really start to roll.

Too early to make any judgments of Jennings.

Would and will are two different questions.

It took being down 24-7 with them stacking the box to truly let Jennings open up the offense.

Dural and Diarse are going to make some plays this year. I'd hold off on bragging about our team though

Wisconsin's 2nd half was one of the most epic choke jobs I've ever seen, highlighted by the worst QB performance I've ever seen.

LSU has a lot of work to do and a long way to go,it's going to be a tough year in conference play.

That's definitely what I took from the LSU game. Gotta somehow slow down that air attack!

Has the Wisconsin coach put on weight since taking the job? Is it something in the water in that part of the world?

I guess 40% completion rate looks pretty good when the other team's QB tosses 33%.

That's the thing that a lot of people are overlooking. We faced what all of us would have considered the nightmare scenario. The run game wasn't working, the defense was giving up points, we were down 17 against a good opponent. We were down to depending on by far our biggest question marks to bring us back. And they did. Jennings hit Dural for a couple of long passes, and Diarse had a monster play. Suddenly, we were back in it and Wisconsin had to respect our passing game. That opened up the running game and we rolled.

Coming into the season, no one knew if we had it in us to do that. It's a relief to know right out of the gate that we can if we need to.

That says a lot coming from the fan of a team that looked as bad as Ole Miss did.
