Lowndes 20 - Plant (Tampa, FL) 14
Ware County 23 - Manatee (Bradenton, FL) 7

Manatee is 5 straight state champions in FL
Plant is also a big name program in FL (HS of Aaron Murray if I'm not mistaken)

they lost in the second round last year, but are still a pretty good team. Ware was down 7-0 at the start of the 4th. Got two pick 6s in the final 8 minutes to seal the deal

The talent across the board in ga is rediculous. Saw the two big schools in tennessee, maryville and alcoa, they wouldnt survive in 5a ga. Hell, i dont think theyd survive 3a ga schools honestly. Hs football in tn is a joke.

I was at the games, wayx...Manatee had some huge boys on offensive line, but your D was scrappy as hell. I swear that o-line looked like a D-1 o-line.

As far as Lowndes goes, we dominated Plant they had a long touchdown pass and one great drive for a touchdown. No other offense all night. We missed three field goals and found ourselves down late because of blown coverage. Lowndes moved the ball at will between the twenties, but froze up in the Richt-Zone.

I'm not ready to proclaim Lowndes world beaters, because I wasn't impressed with Plant. Maybe our D is that good, but we will see. Ware County, on the other hand, looks great. They play ball on D, and that's going to get them far...

figured you were there, good to hear from you

I'm hoping Stephens can get us over the hump this year. We've made some deep runs over the past 8 years including 2 Runner-Ups, so maybe this year will be the magic one. Got another tough game against Coffee in 2 weeks.

How did our RB/LB, Dedrick Mills, look? He's got a couple of offers, one being from USCe. Hope we end up offering soon.

Defensively everyone including he looked fantastic. Manatee did a great job defensively as well for most of the game, so no one looked particularly great offensively.

That said, I get the feeling that both of those programs would put a hurting on a lot of teams in both FL and GA. It was a fun struggle to watch. The Lowndes game was more one sided, although you wouldn't tell it from the score. That ware game was much closer than the score tells...
