Going from a system like Franklin's to a system like Stanford's will prove worthwhile in the long term. But it will have some growing pains.

The talent that fits Mason's system isn't in place yet. But once he gets his guys, Vandy will retake their spot as the best school in Tennessee.

Stanford system >>>>>> Big East system fwiw vol fans

When you get pushed all over the field and play like shite that's not a system issue its a coaching issue.

IMO the sign of a good HC vs a bad HC is pretty simple.

A bad HC can only win when he has everything aligned perfectly. They are the my way or the highway types that try to force players to do things they can't do and then whine that they don't have the right guys for their system.

A good HC takes the talent he has and molds his system to fit it. If they have dudes that fit the spread, you run a more wide open offense. If they have guys that would be great in a run heavy offense you do that. He sees that he has a square peg and cuts the board until the peg fits.

Its not necessarily the system implementation that will take time with Bert, it's his buyout that will take time for Arky to be able to pay.

Are you saying Carolina has a coaching issue?

No. Mason is a soft coach with a hair trigger on his panic button. He's in over his head. He'll be a DC again next year. You can rarely tell a lot from 1 game but last night was extremely telling.

That's what spurrier said during halftime, their getting out played, out coached ect. USC will have to correct a lot of things to rebound from that loss.

That being said, the difference between the way USC & Vandy played is a big difference. If Vandy played A&M it would have been over in the first quarter.

I don't know man. It's hard to judge a coach off of one loss. Temple could be really good this year

For Vandys sake, I hope Temple is in the four team playoff. I think that Mason will be fine at Vandy. I do agree it will take some time.

Yes...but Arkansas will never take their spot back as the best team in Arkansas.
