Nickel back and dime back

This is the easy way to look at it...it goes deeper though because of the responsibilities. A true Nickel back/Dime back is conventionally another coverage back...

In this scheme they are more LB/S type players with run support first

Looks like Will and Sam backers bumped out in coverage depending on the offensive set. I would imagine they are going to bump and try to funnel the receiver inside. Probably man coverage or flats depending on the coverage called with the majority of coverage playing the flats.

in Pruitt we trust...i think he is doing a better job already of finding the athletes and putting them in a spot suited to their abilities instead of trying to force a position on a guy that may not necessarily have the tools to play that position...good read...thanks Spiff

You're welcome. Thought would put it out there so those of the GSB who don't know everything there is to know about football will have a chance to learn something they did not know.

Even though this topic is only 3 days old, I need to bump it because it is literally 10 pages back now.
