Can't wait to see these kids get after it. Hopefully it's more than just ST

Georgia expects that all five of its top running backs -- including true freshmen Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will play in some form against Clemson, though offensive coordinator Mike Bobo stopped short Friday of guaranteeing anything more than special teams for all of them.

I hope Turman gets to play.

With top players leaving after 3 years, I see no reason to redshirt anyone that is ready to contribute. The only exception would be at QB with someone dedicated to stay and take over in year 4 or 5.
Even a freshman OL or DL can go in for a play or 2 and give a starter a break.

I watched ROWK play at Aquinas and he's better than both of the starting ILB's you have now

With everyone healthy I see no reason to burn Sony's redshirt year. Three stud backs plus Douglas should be enough, right?

While I think Wilson is overrated, Herrera is vastly underrated. I can appreciate that Douglas could be a damn good ILB, but he's not better than Herrera is right now.

Redshirt doesnt keep a guy out of the nfl, it only allows him a 5th year of eligibility in college. Unless you think a guy wants or will stick around 5 years, theres no point.
And if a guy who has already burned a redshirt gets hurt in offseason down the road, tough shite getting him a medical redshirt.

I understand all that, Is 5th string and garbage carries less helpful than watching and learning and coming back a co-feature with chubb. Am I wromg?

cantseefade,
Only argument I can see is running back by committee and handing the ball off to a different player every down.
But that's not gonna happen.
Carries: Gurley 70% RAWK 10% Marshall 10% Chubb 5% whoever the other guy is 5% or less

What I will find interesting is what happens to Marshall if his YPC is down?

I would love to see us pound the shite out of the ball ala the Dooley era but I don't know that we have the linemen to do it....I would like nothing better than to have a lead to start the third quarter of any game and take the second half kickoff and hold the ball about 12.5 minutes before scoring 6....I don't know what the stats are but it seems like our offense either scores in a hurry or gets off the field in a hurry...

Dang, where were you last year when I kept saying this and all I ever heard back was ”Well, Wilson has more tackles”
Posted on 8/24/14 at 8:46 am to Porter Osborne Jr
I agree. I'm much higher on Herrera than Wilson
