could he drive to school in 8th grade?

We had a guy like that our middle school. Also had a mustache. Was kind of intimidating, but holy hell you wanted him on your team for Danish Rounders in gym.

I think I read that he never failed or repeated a grade. That could be wrong but it sounds like he just started late. Don't have a problem with him sitting out. At least he won't blow a knee out or something.

I guess so. He will be further physically developed when he gets to Bama than other recruits in his class. Maybe that will give him an advantage. Maybe once he goes against players his own age he will not ball out as much. Tough to say. Hope it's the former.

EE... Sounds like an oxymoron in this instance.

When I turned 20 I was already in my junior year in college. He seems kind of old to be in the same school with 14 and 15 year old high school freshmen.

His younger brother is already 18 and just started his Junior year of high school.

Neither one of them has failed or been held back a grade.

They supposedly got lost at sea on their way here from Cuba and that delayed their elementary school enrollment years ago.
