quote:

"He was maybe in the fourth grade," the Plainview High School football coach said. "We had played a game, and I don't recall if we had lost or if it was just a close game, but some of the coaches and I were talking, and he was there. He spoke up out of the blue and said he wasn't real crazy about the play calling."

quote:

"He recruited Jeremy some, but it was a numbers deal," Dale said. Jeremy "was not a great athlete. He couldn't jump as high, run as fast. But he could play the game. A lot of times, it's not who can jump the highest or run the fastest, it's who knows what to do when the ball's snapped. If you do the wrong thing real fast, you're just farther away from the ball."

Cool Bro!

I really think that Pruitt has been like an electric arc that has spread to every facet of the team. His attitude seems infectious and the team in general just seems more together and dialed in. I really, really believe that the defense will be heads and tails above last year, maybe even a top 10 defense. Just has a real special feeling to it.

This makes me think of my shop teacher in high school. The man taught the hell out of carpentry and mechanics but had a really crippling case of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Just because a person can't perform doesn't mean he can't create a master.
