Bold and asinine don't mean the same thing. Is that what they teach you at UACCM?

Pre-season is a wonderful time of the year. Every team's fans can have hope. I however, believe this is about right. Would probably guess 6-6.

No doubt Ark will be improved. It's hard to say better than 6 wins but only time will tell.

My logical side says 5 wins with a couple of losses that come down to the wire.

My BOLD prediction is 7 wins, pulling those two close ones out.

(Couldn't help myself, bro. Know you were more interested in 'non-Hog fan' predictions.)

Agreed...with the crazy kitty statement. As far as predictions, I think we win 7 but that includes a howl win. Regular season I only see 6-6 and I worry I'm too optimistic. We have decent to good talent on the lines and are solid at RB. Our defensive back seven, WRs, and QB situation is not optimal though...not by a lot.

I see y'all going 3-9 again; would be 2-10 if NIU returned Lynch and the other players that went pro.

Wins: Nicholls State, Northern Illinois, UAB

Losses: Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Missouri

Toss Ups: Texas Tech(if in F'ville I'd think win), Texas A&M, Miss State, Ole Miss

I think Arkansas pulls one win vs a Mississippi school. Wouldn't be surprised at TAMU.

And with LSU coming off of the Bama game and Arkansas coming off of a Bye; and how LSU never seems to take Arkansas seriously. This would be my upset game for them.

So to me 3-9 but 7-5 at best.

You'll have arguably the toughest schedule in the country (if preseason SoS is to be believed). 7 wins is a long stretch from your win total last season.

Strength of schedule this time of year is based solely on the combined records of our opponents last year. That includes NIU going 12-2, they won't be nearly as good without Lynch and they just lost their best running back for the season.

So while our schedule is hard because we play in the West, it's not really that much harder than any other SEC teams. We play Nicholls State, UAB, and NIU, that's three wins pretty much guaranteed right there. I believe we'll beat Texas Tech, that leaves 8 games to win 2 for a bowl game.

Probable losses are Bama and Auburn, so that leaves 6 winnable games. Not really that daunting when you break it down.

I am thinking 5-7, but would not be totally shocked to see the Hogs wind up 6-6 or 7-5. I don't think my expectations are unrealistic.

SEC games I think Arkansas has the best chance of winning are A&M and the Mississippi Schools, but that's still a relatively tall order. Win at least one of those, beat the cupcakes, and beat Texas Tech for a five win season.

Beat one of LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Mizzou, or Georgia to get to a bowl game.

If I was an Arkansas fan, I would be pleased with a 5 or 6 win season as long as the team played fundamentally sound football and consistently got better as the year progressed.

Hogs will get at least 1 upset this fall.

My bold prediction is Bert will slim down.

I think 7-5 is doable. Arkansas has a chance at being the most improved team in the league this year.
