I wouldn't be completely against it because the boring arse cup cakes would be gone. It would also be kind of funny since the small teams bitched about the bcs being unfair, if we went to power 5 vs power 5 only then only power 5 teams could make it.

Saban can say all he wants but until we stop paying 3 high school teams to lay down in BDS every year his words are pretty hollow.

It's the only way playoffs make sense. Everybody playing a schedule of technically equal difficulty.

That'd be fine by me. Our OOC opponents are usually strong anyways. We play clemson every year, they're ranked a lot. We have played other ACC teams a lot in the past 10 years (UNC or NCSTATE 4 times) Even our small conference teams have been solid, ECU is turning into a decent program for their level, they went 10-3 last year. Coastal was undefeated before they played us in November last years and they went deep into the FCS playoffs. We played a good Navy team one year. UCF was a Top 10 team last year.
If we do this, I hope we do keep it more regional though. I would like SC to play Ga Tech, the NC schools, the VA schools, and Miami/FSU. I wouldn't mind throwing in a Big10 school once in a while b/c we own them historically.

In fact it looks like all of the yes votes from the SEC are coaches that routinely buy 3 cupcake games. Voting is easier than doing, I guess.

Yet, schedules would never get done because everyone would want to play the Indianas, Illinois, Colorados, Texas, and Kentuckys. They wouldn't schedule the Auburns, Bamas, UGAs, and FSUs.

This won't get rid of cupcakes. There are a few FCS teams better than prolly at least one or two from each conference. Including the SEC.

I'm pro-football at any level, so I do not agree totally. A lot of these lower level schools need these paydays to stay afloat/make needed improvements. But I would limit the non-power league games to one per year.

I don't like it. Too many games per season now, teams need to have some legit cupcakes each year.
So everyone is hypocrites by having an opinion that they don't follow themselves?
I guess he needs to schedule another SEC team OOC also, since he wants to play nine SEC games. Maybe he shouldn't ever run HUNH either.
He's paid put his team in a position to win Titles, scheduling only top programs when all others are playing cupcakes is stupid.

Do you really think players want more games that could impact their NFL prospects. Underclassmen will be declaring as soon as they can and you can bet a union would make players eligible after one year. After what happened to Lattimore how thrilled do you think someone like Gurley is to play this year.

Teams will still find a way to schedule the Indiana, Boston College, Kansas and Purdues of the world. It's nice in theory and would be exciting but a pipe dream.

I would rather play one of them than Northwestern State or SEMO etc.
At least then I don't feel pissed about paying for a ticket to the game.

I would first like to see more cross division play in the SEC. Nine or 10 conference games would be nice, especially if the SEC expands to 16 teams. Those are all "power 5" teams. Got me thinking about Maryland and Rutgers joining the BIG 10 July 1st and starting play this Fall. I'd say TAMU and Mizzou were much better additions to a Conference. The B1G already had a team from Pennsylvannia, and who cares about Maryland sports?
