What are your thoughts on your teams after the early practices?
Any surprises or disappointments?
I do get a sense that the SEC East is as whole on the other side of the ditch which means that it should be a pretty competitive year.
As a UGA fan, I have been happy with what I have heard about the OL, the LBing corps, and the RBs. The DBs have a lot to prove, but it sounds like there are a lot more options than this time last year.
Still worried about the WRs- hope that Mitchell's scope was just a maintenance thing and he will be fine. Sounds like JSW won't be quite ready at the start of the season. Rome's toe apparently bothers him off and on.

He'll be fine by Clemson.

CB's are young. WR's have been going ham on them. The 1st team DB's are doing well though.
Taylor Stallworth, DT, is a surprise, much faster than I thought. Came into camp in great shape.
Too many guys are getting hamstring injuries nowdays, er'ybody needs to stretch more.
Thompson is doing great.
Mike Davis has the training and buffet table on lockdown.
RB's are doing well. David Williams is very fast.
OL is beastly, they are all just huge people.
DL is undersized by SC standards.
LB's are even better than last year. Skai Moore will be All SEC.
We potentially have a new punter, which is awesome, the last guy sucked.
None of this matters, no pads.

Lot faster on defense.
QBs are still a big question mark.
Jalen Hurd and Von Pearson are supposedly the real deal.
Will be incredibly young but more talented freshmen than any group we've had in several years.
Still will be a struggle for 6 or 7 wins.

Today was UK's first day of fall practice, so we don't know too much outside of what we saw in spring. Stoops mentioned there was some dropped balls today he wasn't real thrilled with, but 3 of our wide receivers was banged up in the spring and it could just be those first day jitters. He seemed pretty pleased with the QBs (they haven't settled on a starter yet) and they're apparently making it tough as a group to really settle on one because they're all playing well.

The thing I've heard most is the night and day difference in speed.
Weathered and Bates have impressed
Azzanni said Vic Wharton has done better than any freshman he's ever seen.
Inconsistent QB play

I thought the punter was still Hull, but just that he didn't suck anymore?

Nah, Hull sucks until he proves himself otherwise. He's only as good as his last punt, and it sucked.

Agreed that he was horrible last year, but I honestly thought the practice reports I'd been reading were that he had significantly improved his hang time and distance.
And that ends my discussion on punters.

Our receiving corp is something I'm not to concerned with. Db's and oline. Are what scare me the most, if the show out this year we could be in the dome early December. If not we could be in the dome late.December.

Considering the OP asked for thoughts from teams practices, somebody does care.

His punts cost us some serious field position last year. There were times when it was a better strategy for our opponent to let their punter punt the ball, have us punt it back and have their team have a net gain of 20-30 yards than it was to actually try to get those yards on offense.

Yes I do care. I thought it would be nice to see how teams are progressing through the Fall Camp.

Yeah, robsports is just a deranged mental defective with an unhealthy obsession with the Vols.
Personally, I wish the mods would sticky fall camp threads for updates from the east and west. Hell, it's hard for me to process all the info on my team, much less other teams.
