According to a report in The Oklahoman, the school is "very confident" that DGB will be approved for immediate eligibility thanks to an NCAA waiver. The school hasn't even filed the appeal yet but plans to do so after receiving some additional documentation from Missouri. The report also says that Oklahoma plans on appealing using the appropriately dubbed "run-off" waiver.

The run-off waiver was created by the NCAA for instances in which a player was removed from their former program for reasons beyond the player's control.

The basis of Oklahoma's appeal will be that Green-Beckham was never actually charged for the incident that led to his release from Missouri. Green-Beckham allegedly broke into an apartment and shoved a woman down some stairs.

This seems bold, even for Big Game Bob and his constant desire to take shots at the SEC

So will Mixon
Stoops likes to make an arse of himself
Really all coaches are in the same boat with suspensions and player misconduct
It's no different at any school and the fanbases are so ignorant to any of it as long as the star player suits up and wins the game

Considering Oklahoma's track record with the NCAA (see Dvoracek, Dusty for exhibit A), it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he got an approved waiver to play this season.

What could work in Oklahoma's favor, however, is that it could get support from Green-Beckham's old school. A source told CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler that Oklahoma expects Missouri will issue written support of the request for Green-Beckham's eligibility.

Help OU get to the playoff for a potential rematch with Saban and the Tide.

Damn NCAA agenda.

the NCAA has something called a "run-off" rule which basically means if a school processes a guy, his eligibility shouldn't be forfeited. It's quite the slippery slope here because this is not at all the intention of the rule

Assault a girl and be rewarded by being able to transfer to a better team. Great message you're sending to the kids NCAA.

If Mixon gets the boot(which he should) and DGB starts, then this will make Stoops look very hypocritical.

Those SOBs got their vacated games back from the Rhett Bomar scandal, but Alabama had to bite it over damn text books.

OU is going argue somehow that since he was never charged he should have never been kicked off the team. He was never charged because the victims feared a backlash from angry Mizzou fans. Football coaches, don't kick players off your team. That's the law's job.

Why would Pinkle do this? At some point DGB needs to suffer some consequences for his actions or he's only going to get in progressively worse trouble
