Matte helmets finally gone?

Gaines just posted this, shooting for intros and the website ads/commercials, etc.
Those definitely aren't matte anymore.

Pretty sure that's just the clear film they leave on the front of the helmets during camp so they still look pretty for game 1 and not all scuffed up

Idk, Waddell told me on twitter when I asked him a few months ago that matte was on the way out but he wasn't sure how quickly they'd get the new ones in.
So that could be the case, he didn't seem like we'd have the gloss ones ready in time for this year.

Look closer at Rohan Gaines' helmet in the first pic.
Clearly there is a line that separates shiny and matte. I'm with Joker and that appears to be protective film.

Oh wow I didn't know that. Hopefully you're right. I just remember seeing the same thing last fall camp and I got all excited until I realized it was just a plastic film 
I actually do like the matte alright now that the black shite on the back is gone but I'd prefer shiny like old days
