Why do the Big 6 schools think they're too good to play Thursday night games?

Do any other schools think they're above playing on Thursday nights?

Didn't LSU play state on Thursday a few years ago?

I don't think that's true. LSU would do anything to play at night.

Tubbs liked them for the extra exposure. Most coaches who don't need exposure don't want them. It messes up the process. I wish our game wasn't on a Thursday this year.

They lose revenue playing a home Thursday night game. That is the biggest objection to it. I think road Thursday night games are fun once every couple of years.

With the NFL now going full season on Thursday night, I think college football needs to drop this Thursday Night thing altogether. The NFL is going to destroy the college game in the ratings, and now with CBS on board for Thursday, the NFL games will be of hiogher quality. I expect that CBS slate to increase in future years.

Why play on Thursday when you could play on Saturday? You lose a lot of the the tailgating scene and travel is a bitch.

Difference between Road and home. Auburn plays @KSU on Thursday. Two years ago @ MSU.

Do not remember the last Thursday home game.

Agree, it's lame. I wish AU would stop doing it.

The only positive for me is that you get a good game earlier in the week, and as long as the slate for Saturday is good, it's nice having your W out of the way and just watching a bunch of other football.

It's just Bama fans being hypocrites.

I can't wait to play KSU...national audience, great for recruiting.

Yeah IIRC the Michael Hening six interception game was on Thursday and the 16-9 game maybe?

Wouldn't it be nearly impossible to do tailgating in Aghens on a Thursday night?

Yeah it was a close game throughout, 17-6 was the final score I believe.

Eric Reid rocked some dude's world in that game.
