Was McClain protected at Bama? Just read the report of his recent conviction, and it made me wonder if he was just as "active" in college and it was all just swept under the rug. I thought he was going to be a monster in the NFL, but he has been his biggest obstacle to overcome.

Maybe I just haven't seen the right threads, but I don't seem to remember hearing that he got in trouble at Bama. Just curious.

Nick Saban kept him under a leash and utilized his talent to the fullest.

Was obviously let go into NFL and the inner tPOS upbringing went full retard for 3 years.

frick yeah. He beat some dudes arse and tried to run over him, another student, basically attempted murder, and saban didn't suspend him because bama needed him two nights later for a Thursday night game at MSU.

His only incident I recall, and for the most part is was swept under the rug, was beating the shite out of a frat star.

I think Saban made sure rolando didn't venture out on his own often. Saban actually once said rolando threatened to whip his arse in his office one day. Didn't call rolo by name but it was easy to deduct who he was talking about.

Yeah, you definitely aren't remembering. The incident I just described happened on a Tuesday late night out on the strip and he received no punishment or suspension. Later had to pay the guy he hospitalized in a court settlement.

Saban needed him and didn't even consider a suspension.

Man that would have been awesome. Not for Saban to get his arse whipped, but the shite show that would have followed.

Best I remember on that is he accidentally backed into somebody, and some drunk fratty dropped the N-bomb. Not smart to someone who is mentally unstable.

This never happened.

The fight occurred because McClain supposedly drove his car too close to some guy in a parking lot, and the dude took offense and started yelling at McClain. At which point McClain got out of the car and broke the dude's jaw.

yea, Saban is extremely good at keeping questionable character guys under wraps for the most part. James had a monster drug problem and he kept that shite on the dl till he freaked out midseason.

I'm not saying I have a great memory, but I don't remember us playing MSU on a Thursday.

We never played MSU on a Thursday night while Rolando was in school. Actually, I don't think we played any Thursday night games during that time.

The majority of his posts involve trolling Alabama, why even bother responding?

We didnt, and if he is talking about the MSU game, we slaughtered them that year, and no one expected otherwise.

Have you seen that southpark episode where they dive into cartmans psyche and reveal that he's so warped that he believes lies that he's conjured up to be so definitively true that he's forgotten they're lies?

That is TiM
