True. Went to HS with Bama QB and at least twice was sucker punched by underclassman and then by rival basketball fan as team left the court at halftime. QB had a great right cross. No one cried, police not called and parents didn't complain or file law suits.

Also know of incident at Orange Beach where another former QB was home with LB NFL teammate and LB knocked a guy out cold for looking at him wrong. No cops, no crying, no press and no law suits.

This really is a soft society that we live in now.

Sounds to me like a bunch of tPOS go to bama and they feel like they are entitled enough to knock guys out for "looking at them wrong".

If he would sucker punch a guy or knock somebody out for looking at him wrong, yes he is. I have no problem with somebody smoking a forest of weed, snorting a mountain of coke, or even shooting heroin......in their home. That is not a crime against humanity. I have a huge problem with a goon beating on somebody......just because.

I'm sure he was protected but I think the main thing was that McClain was simply happy for the first and only time in his life when he was in college. It kinda makes sense when you think about his background. I remember reading about his first retirement and him saying the real reason he quit is because he was afraid that if he stayed he'd turn into Hernandez because he had so much anger inside. He also returned to Bama during that time period because that was where he'd found happiness and said he didn't encounter or speak to Saban much.

A lot of people try to return to where they were happy. Shame he still hasn't managed to work out his issues but even during the long article he gave to ESPN (a good one too) he mentioned he was afraid to participate in therapy because he didn't want someone else knowing the anger inside him and was afraid of what they might tell him about himself.

People fight, never for a good reason. Grow a pair. This is all soccer's fault you know? Did JPW punch you or something?

He's been in the football complex working for the past year. I find that hard to believe.

That may be true. He didn't deny speaking with him but he did say it wasn't really all that much. This is also based on an older interview he gave. TFWIW.
