TWC finally gives in. Only DirecTV is holding out.

Charter cable is not on board. It covers moist of the reigning sec champions home state, and most of Alabama too.

With TWC signing on, the SECN needs DirecTV's subscriber numbers to meet the goal of 75 million that was originally projected by ESPN. I don't know how many subscribers Verizon has.

Sorry I'm not familiar with Verizon. I'm just going by ESPN's info about the companies that will help the SECN meet projections made when the network was announced. I have nothing against Verizon.

Seriously. I talked to them night before last and they offered me Sunday NFL and $20 off my bill for a year to stay with them. I asked them if they were going to get the SECN and I was told, "Probably by this time next year." I've given them until August 10th. After that I'm going with Dish.

So if we have Dish, are we going to have to pay more money each month or upgrade our package in order to get SEC Network? Or will it automatically come with the most basic package they offer?

Who cares, as long as they pay their $1.40 per subscriber for it.

I don't give shite, I was pointing out the article stating Dallas was a major SEC market, which it's not.

Idk, between A&M and Arkansas I would say Dallas is pretty high on the SEC scale.

A&M and Arky have a shitload of alumni here and A&M games have done well.

For example, from last year

quote:

Based on Nielsen ratings finalized to date, ESPN’s Saturday night telecast of Texas A&M defeating Ole Miss 41-38 on October 12 was the most-viewed college football game of the week across all networks. The matchup between SEC West Division rivals averaged 5,114,000 viewers and a 3.2 HH US rating.

Birmingham was the leading market for ESPN’s coverage of Texas A&M at Ole Miss, averaging a 13.9 rating. Memphis was second with a 12.1 rating followed by Austin (12.0), San Antonio (9.2), Houston (7.7), New Orleans (7.7), Dallas-Fort Worth (7.7), Knoxville (7.5), Greenville (7.1) and Columbus (6.9).
