It took us 50 years after the civil rights movement to get a brother in office.
By my estimation, gay marriage will be legal across the board in 10 years.
Let's add half of the civilrights2obama timeframe to that time for a president, plus a few extra years for error.
In 2054, we will have a homosexual commander in chief.
Will you vote for him/her?

As long as he's not Muslim

We may have had several bisexual Commanders in Chief but a strictly homosexual man or woman in the White House? Maybe 25-30 years.
I was surprised when Lexington elected an openly gay man, with a longtime partner no less, as mayor. He'll probably be re-elected this Fall.

Probably so, and OP may need to clarify as to be openly gay.

If Hillary is elected I guess she'll be our first. Two birds with one stone ... get the gay and the bulldyke outta the way in one election.

It's pretty well known in most circles in Louisville that former Mayor Jerry Abramson was gay. But he definitely wasn't out.

Hell, there's been quite a few people I know and say "If they're not gay, they're missing a good opportunity."

Did I type it correctly?
It was my first time ever trying to actually type it. Wasn't sure if it was spelled correctly ... just went with it.
