How was this game an instant classic? Were any of y'all at that game?
Arkansas finished 6-6 and won the Las Vegas Bowl and Alabama ended the season at 3-8 and lost to Southern Miss.
Is CST just running out of stuff to air?

I was there. It came down to a goaline stand at the end of the game iirc. Both teams were projected to be good that year and it was early in the season.

That's pretty cool.

That was my sophomore year in college. I remember we were so fired up after beating Bama because it looked like we were going to have a big year. Then we both promptly flopped and we finished up the year with a loss to UNLV in the Las Vegas bowl.

Yeah that was the first year with the jumbotron. We expanded the bowl during that year. I actually made my one lone appearance on the jumbotron during the fourth quarter of that game.

You were fired up after struggling to beat a team that had just gotten shut out at home by Southern Miss the previous week?
