If you need further explanation, you can contact your nearest substation or the Firearm Permit Unit at DPS headquarters.

Informing Law Enforcement of Carry:
The licensee must carry the license, together with valid identification, at all times in which the licensee is carrying a concealed pistol or revolver and must display both the license and proper identification upon demand by a law enforcement officer. Alcohol and Drugs:
Waiting For Information. As always, alcohol/drugs don’t mix with firearms. That’s a pretty simple rule of thumb.
It is unlawful to carry a firearm in any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises that is primarily devoted to dispensing alcoholic beverages; any portion of an establishment in which beer or light wine is consumed on the premises, that is primarily devoted to such purpose

yeah of course about 10 seconds after i started this thread i found that

appreciate the help though

do have a question though i was thinking about it i dont live at the address that is listed on my drivers license anymore however i still live in the Miss obviously. The problem is that i am fresh out of college and currently live with my parents until i get a good job and make a little cash but i can't prove i live at my new address as none of the bills are in my name.

basically, im trying to figure out if they will let me put my new address on the permit without going through the trouble of getting my drivers license changed. im thinking no chance

It might possibly hurt your chances at a permit. I believe you are required to have an updated address on your license after som many days of new residence in most states.

Don't know for sure about Miss, but in Alaska, the two physical addresses must match. I would call DPS and ask.

The good news here is if you have a liberal arts degree you can just use your folk's address.

You're gonna be there awhile.

Damn that's expensive. I paid $7 to renew mine in AL, but that's determined by county.

Btw I saw in another thread you said police found brass knuckles in your truck and they let you go, I thought brass knuckles were illegal in some form? Almost certain it's considered a "deadly weapon", which doesn't necessarily make it illegal to possess
