Anybody been watching Media Days coverage on espnU?

It's basically a preview of what some of the SEC Network is gonna look like.

Greg McElroy is a fricking douche, and I still can't believe Paul Finebaum is gonna be on TV. But, the commercials they're running to preview the SEC Network content looks pretty good. Preview-shows dedicated for each SEC team, etc.

Sucks that I won't be able to watch. Maybe, they'll put some of the shows on the ESPN app after they've been debuted or something.....

Also, I realize that being a politician and a good speaker isn't what makes a quality Head Coach, but damn...........the new Vandy coach's media days interview was hard to watch.

I haven't followed the SEC Network discussions very closely. Other than the games they will be showing and gameday preview shows, what type of programming are they going to have during the week?

Personally I'd love replays of classic games, documentaries, etc.

He is awful. Living in bham was made so much worse by hearing him everyday. The guy is simply jerry springer for radio.

He doesn't (or maybe I should say didn't, when he had his show, no idea what he's like currently) even TRY to be fair and objective with his infatuation and idolotry of alabama. Even worse, he would troll all the other fanbases, and get callers to talk shite about each other. For 3 hours.

Show would open up, he'd talk about something that happened recently, start the calls with one or two of his regulars (yes, regulars. He had like 5 or 6 unbelievably redneck losers that would call in every single day), they would make these wild bogus claims (gumps, afterall), then every subsequent caller would just talk crap about the caller before. Repeat. He was nothing more than a moderator for the circus.

Well, for starters, theyre running ads for hour-long preseason preview shows dedicated to each SEC team......

That's 13 hours of content right there that i'd rather watch than probably 95% of whats available to watch on TV.

True. Comcast is a rip-off and a headache to deal with.

ONe of the few redeeming features that I like though is that you get free access to some cool apps. Like WatchESPN.

And when you combine that with Apple TV to braodcast it from your phone to your tv screen.......it opens up a whole new world. Especially during football season when you can replay games. Or watch the UGA games against the cupcakes live when they aren't being televised in your area.

I'm really hoping there'll be an option to get the SEC Network through some kind of mobile app. I'd even pay to get it.

They do. What I think is insane is that they carry the B10 network but not the SEC (yet).

Read where comcast is picking the sec network.

On that note, anyone know where it will be on Dish?

I called them the other day to cancel Sunday Ticket, asked them about SECN while I had them on the phone, it sounds like they are in the middle of productive negotiations.

I can't find anything definitive on Time Warner...I'm sure it'll be part of some tier that I don't have now and will need to pay for.

God I hate those bastards....

The SEC Network traveling SEC College Gameday spin-off show, "SEC Nation".......is hyping their September schedule at the media days.....

Interesting to note that on September 13th, they will head to Gainesville for Florida - kentucky.

So, it would make sense that this is because the real Gameday will be heading to Columbia again for Georgia - USCe.

U-Verse is already on board with SECN, and they're in the midst of acquiring DirecTV. That alone means that they'll work it out to get SECN on both. Comcast and TWC can frick themselves in the ear till their brains rattle.

I have strong feeling DirectTV is going to carry SEC network this football season.

However, as a negotiating tactic, they may wait until partway through the season.
