What do you consider to be a successful season?

For this year?
For UF, I have two scenarios.
Scenario 1:
Finish the season 7-5. Beat UGA. Defense struggles with lack of experience but the offense greatly improves and every game is winnable in the 4th Q. Ultimately a success because of an extremely difficult schedule.
Scenario 2:
9 or more wins. Berth in SECCG. Beat UGA. Defense carries the team, like in 2012. The offense is improved enough to be ranked in the top half of the SEC. Anything more is gravy.
If UF loses to UGA again this season, it will be very hard for me to call this season a success, unless UF wins the SEC with UGA being the only loss.
Obviously, I want UF to win a title, but realistically that is not happening this year for many reasons, the most obvious being a brutal schedule.

I have to tell you, as a guy that lived his formitive years in the 90's and suffered through my 20's during the decade of the 00's; it is nice to see you guys worrying about beating UGA again. It has been a while.

Part of it is because my best buddy is a UGA fan and I don't wanna talk to him right after the game if UGA beats UF again

Bama needs to make the playoffs and/or win an SEC title for me to call Bama's 2014 season a success.

For Tennessee, 6-6 including 1 upset win. (UF, UGA, SC, Chokelahoma, Bama)

10-2. USCe and Auburn beat us. USCe will be tough to beat at the Cockpit and Auburn has really high hopes this year. We have a shot at the SECCG with this record. Also if the defense makes big strides this year I'd consider it an improvement.

Wins over UF, USCe, UT, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and some FCS school
6-6. Beat all our main rivals and got a bowl. Would suck a-hole but at the same time we beat the only teams that matter.

That too. I have seen some of the obnoxiousness on both sides of the Cocktail party. Neither is very pretty.
But you have to cut some of our guys some slack, dealing with prosperity in that rivalry is not something most of them are used to.
