"Jasper Sanks-Inches Away" tells the rise and fall of one of the most prolific amateur running backs, Jasper Sanks. The documentary will tell the story of the Columbus, Ga native as he is introduced to football, his dominance in high school and his fall in college. Perspectives of coaches, teammates, and even opponents will be given on his life on and off the football field. With memorable moments, tragedies endured with the murder of his twin brother, and the disappointment of not reaching the professional league. Columbus, GA has had a spawn of football players make it to the NFL recently, but to this day, a lot will argue that Jasper has been the best the city has ever seen. "Inches Away" is the untold story of a young man that gave his all to the game he loved.

Independent documentary maker is trying to raise funds to complete a documentary about Jasper Sanks going from the #1 RB in the nation out of HS to basically disappearing after UGA.

For those interested, Sanks gave a really great interview recently on the FieldStreetForum Podcast. Worth a listen if you have some time (talks about everyone from Richt and Donnan to Crowell and Quincy Carter):

Absolutely will not watch, bc they will undoubtedly talk about "that" play, which still raises my blood pressure even thinking abt it.

Yep, other than the end of the 2012 SEC title. That ending is the most heartbreaking in my time watching UGA football.

Tech having to retract those victories due to probation helped a tiny bit.

I've almost fought a few Tech fans over their refusing to acknowledge the sheer criminality of the "fumble." They often point to Tony Taylor's TD in 2006 as being just as egregious which is laughable to me.

difference being one of those plays (taylor) was actually legitimate by the rulebook, just unconventional. While the other had about 3 colossal, monumental referee frickups that it is almost impossible to wrap the brain around how mind bogglingly incompetent that series of events was. It remains and always will remain the most shitty, blatant, unbelievably ridiculous blown call of my life that I have ever or will ever see.

I hope Al Ford dies a slow painful death and rots in hell.

I had a bet on the game with a Techie. I refused to pay, only time I sorta welched. He understood. Of course I coulda kicked his arse.

What about the weed issues? I wonder if this hard-hitting journalism will cover those.
