I could see Carolina finishing ahead of UGA. I really like the Pruitt (and his buddies) hire, but it'll probably take more than his first season to straighten out all the BS left behind from Grantham.

All this talk about about UGAs defense when USCe has lost a ton more from last year. Them losing clowney and the rest of that D-line is not mentioned enough. Plus both starting CBs. Don't see USCe winning more than 8 this year.

I think USC is on a downhill slide. The recent loss of Shaw and Clowney...no more Lattimore...and being a year further removed from Ellis Johnson.....will continue to have a cumulative effect on their performance in the SEC.

I haven't drank our Kool Aid...but I sure as hell haven't had theirs either.

I think we take them this year if we can pressure their QB. Even if he plays lights out, maybe this will be the year that Bobo discovers the value of a running game in controlling the clock. If so, I still like our chances.

You mean they are gonna revert back to their Kentucky like days? I don't think that's gonna happen. I think they are more on track to be the next Auburn like team. JMO, it's the feeling ya get when you walk the streets of Columbia or go to a game there.

Certainly not concerned about Dylan Thompson. If Connor Shaw is asked to play with a broken shoulder blade chances are Dylan is not well thought of.

I agree with the fact that their best days are behind them

Might not be the doormat, but no more 11 win seasons

Not an alter just really don't post as much on this board as I did on the old DR. Just happened to check back in. Will be posting more.

The only other team that can even touch our LB corps is Alabama.

They don't have the football resources or tradition Auburn does.

I'd guess they'll stay competitive while Spurrier's there, then regress back to like what Arky usually is (hovering around 7-8 wins, a few 10 win and 5 win seasons here and there). I don't think they'll ever be Kentucky level again. They have a better program than that.

They are a product of a HOF coach.

Take away the coach and the team will crumble.

Just look at arky after Petrino left

Ramik definitely. I think Herrera is much better he just got left out to dry by grantham by not subbing enough.

Richt is 4-2 there. SC has also coincidentally had their best run of football success in their entire school history during this same time period.

To expect SC to become an auburn (in other words, a nationally prominent, high expectations team year in and year out) is laughable. Nobody on this earth knows what SC is going to do when they dont' have their best coach ever. Let's also not forget that they've had their 2 of their 3 best players in school history in the last 4 years as well.

you dumb son? 2 of our linebackers were in the top 3 in the league last year in tackles, one led the whole year (that's not on paper, that's on the field). Our other 2 starters are both on preseason all SEC lists and 1 or both will be on some preseason All-American lists.

75% of our starting linebackers have a legitimate, actual chance at winning some postseason hardware and/or be an All American.

I know it's been a while since tech has had a linebacker worth talking about, but if there's one area on our defense that is actually NOT a concern it's linebackers.
