The future of the big 3 for LSU…..

Something that I take pride in as an LSU fan is the fact that our program strives to be the best in all three sports instead of resting our laurels on one sport. I know many of you hope and pray that LSU will just “go away” or decline is the more appropriate word. I just want to let you all know it isn’t happening anytime soon. To be honest, you all need to prepare thy anus:

-Football: We have our coach heading into his tenth season with a phenomenal staff. Our NFL track record of late is proof of that. Coach Chavis and Coach Cameron are some of the best in the country at what they do and they are bringing in the perfect players for their schemes they want to run. What’s even more impressive is how they can still have us compete at such a high level when every player on our team these days has the 3 years and out mentality. Freshmen are a huge part of what we do as a team, and boy is this freshman class special. Miles is bringing in the biggest recruit to date he has ever signed in Fournette, and a freshman QB in Harris that might be the QB he has been looking for ever since he arrived at LSU. Perilloux would have been that guy and we all know what happened there. We could easily see some growing pains this year with such a young O (minus the Oline) but 2015-16 are shaping up to be very, very special.

Basketball: Johnny Jones isn’t known for X’s and O’s but damn he can recruit and he knows LSU’s basketball tradition better than anyone. To fix the X and O issue, He just brought on Musselman who is the only ex NBA head coach as an assistant on any college basketball team. This guy can flat out coach. Jones also just brought in the #5 recruiting class in the nation and has already started off our 2015 class with the number one player in the nation in Ben Simmons. Folks are saying we haven’t had a recruit this good since Shaq. We are also in on a few studs that could sign in 2015….things are looking very bright.

Baseball: Paul Manieri has done a great job of picking up where Skip left off. There have been a couple of so so seasons when our pitching was down. So in comes Alan Dunn from the pros as well….which has helped our pitching tremendously. Gausman and Aaron Nola say hello. That being said, Manieri is also bringing in his best recruiting class to date with some great power hitters and some of the best pitchers in the country that could easily be starters next season. Watch out for this team next year.

The point I’m trying to make here is that there a pattern forming. We are bringing in ex Pro coaches that are still in their prime in my opinion and we are also bringing in the best recruits along with them that I have seen us sign in quite some time. I don't see how this is nothing but a recipe for success. Take from this what you will, but damn I am excited to see what the future brings in the big 3 sports for LSU

I didn't know pro coaches in their prime were fired and not given another opportunity on the pro level.

Yeah even our mid majors have some great young coaches doing big things. Joe Alleva is going to dick slap Jeremy foley, and our fans will soon go into mass hysteria over nothing to bitch about...I like it
