Do you think the end of the world is near?

I do for several reasons. The biggest one being that the Bible pretty much is dead on with the signs of the times. Other than that, there's just too many crazy people that have their hands on the big red button. Someone somewhere eventually will start a nuclear war.

I don't think you understand the effects of even one 50 megaton nuclear explosion.

I guess if like an asteroid the size of manhattan crashes into the earth or something. Humans won't be the cause of "the end of the world"

Even if life continued.... the end of the world as we know it. I think it's inevitable and soon. Like I said... too many people have the capability of exploding a nuke.

No.
And if you're referring to the predictions in Revelations, those were fulfilled a looooong time ago. The very first verse of the book tells us that.

Nukes have been exploding for almost a century. We're still here.

No.
Also, I'm really not sold on Revelations. It seems like more of a veiled social commentary on the Jewish Revolt written in a way that would hide its meaning from the Romans but communicate its meaning to early Christians rather than a prophetic text.

Just for Dems. The Republican takeover come this midterm will bring Armageddon in their view.

Nobody who currently has long range nuclear capabilities is crazy enough to actually do it. MAD pretty much guarantees that if a nuclear attack occurs it will not be the result of one nation attacking another.

It doesn't have to be long range icbms. And if you are banking on someone not being crazy enough to do something stupid then you don't know anything about world history or the human mind.

Those with nukes know their power and know using one means their certain annihilation. No one will makes the decision to get themselves killed.
