holy shite...that is a small arse town in south east georgia. don 't play in the biggest class but they always have a great team, not many d-1 school players though. it usually takes us a while to get down and see some of these guys for some reason. you probably got a good one, congrats

Stud, the only negative thing I've heard about him is grades (I think). Good pick up if he gets in.

Seriously. And just how big this class already is is great. Obviously there is always a chance that some will decommit by the time signing day comes around but we're not usually so quick out of the gates as we have been this cycle.

Been some great players to come out of Clinch County. They just never get the exposure playing in south georgia single A ball.

I think Clinch still holds the state record for least amount of rushing yards allowed in a 15 games season. I think they allowed only 110 yards or so all season a few years back. Pretty impressive even though it is single A ball.

UK's Fred Tiller is from Homerville. Johnson and a couple of his teammates visited UK weekend before last, and I imagine Johnson was high on the board at S for Kentucky.

Good get for the Gamecocks.

We knew about him, Pruitt offered him at FSU. Did not offer here and I'm not sure why, but I'd heard he had some grade concerns so we were probably slow-playing due to that and he didn't want to wait around.

Very good player and a great pickup, I'd guess he'll play CB.

Is that a typo? 110 yards for the entire season or are you forgetting a 1 possibly?

If that is not a typo then that has to be some kind of national record. My good gosh, lest than 10 yards rushing per game?

ETA: Nevermind, it was actually 117 yards over a 15 game season. Source MASH HERE .... that is just fricking incredible. That has to be a national high school record.

Looks like a nice pickup. The no offer from UGA is a bit of a suprise but there is probably a reason. Hate to miss out on a guy with our needs a safety so hopefully the no offer is valid.

We'll see what happens if y'all offer. Supposedly pretty tight w/ Arden Key, though.

That seems odd. Not sure how they would know each other well. Doesn't matter though

Anyway, I think if UGA was going to offer they would have already. Pruitt went to see him during the evaluation period. Not sure why he didn't get one, but he looks like a good player

I just don't think we offer unless something crazy happens with our other CB/S/WR targets. Those are 3 positions we've targeted heavily for this class and we didn't bite on this kid.

Then again, I don't work in the recruiting office either.

Nobody is trying to spin anything. We didn't offer him, there's no need for a spin. It's not like we didn't know about him. I was actually one of the first posters to say this was a good pick up.
