Have you been? Fan or not?

It's my girlfriend and I's go to place.

*Filet is excellent rare.
*As weird as it is to say their salad is excellent with champagne vinaigrette.
*Again, as weird as it sounds, their macaroni and cheese changes people's lives.

Expected this to be about George Costanza.

Disappointed.

I've heard other people rave about the place as well... I'm not a big steakhouse guy... Usually just do steaks on the grill with salad and potatoes at home.

I've never been blown away by it, but that's not to say it's not a good place.

It's been a while since we've been. I'm usually not a guy to get a flavored steak....some slight marinade and seasoning is plenty for me....BUT, we tried their Maui Steak (don't know if they still have it). I liked it so much, I ordered another one. Getting the bill sucked, but damn, the food was good.

Good point. It's one of my favorite restaurants but I don't get blown away from anywhere often. I've been going for a couple years and this past time blew me away for the first time.

But seriously, on the macaroni and cheese, and I don't love macaroni and cheese. It will change your life.

I almost ordered that yesterday. Went with the old faithful filet though. I'll try it next time.

Their Mac and Cheese is straight fiya. I don't deny that.

I think for me it's more that it's a steakhouse. It's hard to make a not tasty steak. So the only way to impress is some absurdly quality meat. It's all so good, great has to be amazing.

I Cook a mean steak, so I'm not big on steakhouses either.

I worked at the one in Birmingham a few years ago. It's definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

Just a few interesting bits of info about it. Before the restaurant opens up, the GM and the kitchen manager literally taste everything on the menu before the restaurant opens. I'm talking every menu item, including all sauces, salad mixes and deserts. If something doesn't taste exactly right, it won't be served.

Also the macaroni is great but nowhere what it used to be. It used to have bacon baked in with it, but it was permanently removed from the recipe because some a-hole who didn't eat meat or bacon complained.

It's good. I agree with the mac and cheese being life changing.

Agreed... There's some great meat markets here in Memphis and I can get the best cut of meat there, top shelf seasonings and Worcestershire and cook it exactly the way I want for so much cheaper.. And the bag of salad and 2 baked potatoes cost $4 total instead of 5 or 6 bucks apiece.

Throw in a decent $15 bottle of Cabernet instead of $8 for one glass of Yellow Tail and it makes for an easy decision.

They have one of the best Prime Ribs there you can get. May not be life changing but it is an excellent prime rib.

Their prime rib is very good (and I am not even a big prime rib fan).

Their chicken fingers are the business.

Both the Carrot Cake and the Powerfull Stuff are amazing deserts.
