Even though we didn't win any championships this past year,

LSU still was the only school to:

Win 10 games in football
Win 20 games in basketball
Win 40 games in baseball
And go to the post-season in all three.

We did finish 3rd nationally in Gymnastics and 3rd in Golf, and nearly every athletic program we have made the post-season.
Men's Track finished 4th nationally.
Women's Track finished 6th nationally.

Not too shabby.

LSU also increased their graduation rate for all student-athletes from 69% to 81%.

Congrats. All kidding aside, that is a major accomplishment across the sports.

Ole Miss made it to Omaha and won a game in TD Ameritrade before LSU. Hell has officially frozen over

I'm glad to see LSU has shifted their focus from athletics to academics.

Funny how a few wins change things.

A&M won 9 game in football, 18 in basketball, 36 in baseball & went to the postseason in all 3. I consider that to be pretty meh.

Since when did LSU take Ole Miss' place as Moral Victory U?

Exactly.

A thread about LSU's consistent performance across all three sports, and everyone wants to come in and handpick what their own program did.

Except it's something that measures ACTUAL victories.

Your glass is half full, Metry. Optimism in the midst of #tdecline is an admirable trait. Cheers!

What you typed:

quote:

What I read:

quote:

We lost to Ole Miss' backups so we didn't make a BCS bowl.... We did , however , make an NIT run... We were six outs away from hosting a Super Regional but got outscored 18-2 over the next 11 innings by Houston... And we had some type 10 finishes at some other shite that nobody cares about... Happy. Happy. Happy.

Solid, but would you rather have won a championship in one sport and had one of the other sports suck?
