If you could know the day you would die, would you want to?

There's no preventing it, you know it's going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it.
Plus: You'd know when to spend all your money and do all the shite on your bucket list.
Negative: it would kind of suck conscience wise, for me atleast.

I think I would. It would be sad in a way, but as life is now makesh the largest factor of life (death) being an unknown and also makes us take things for granted.

As long as the credit card companies don't know then hell yeah! That last year I would have a helluva party on them.

I agree. Especially about taking things for granted. Little things would mean so much more

I became a father 3 weeks ago, so my perspective has improved, but it hasn't drastically changed like I thought it would.
Even further than just loved ones, we let ourselves get comfortable after near death experiences.. Everybody's outlook changes after a bad car wreck, beating cancer, dodging a bullet but we all go right back to not appreciating things as much as we should..
If a death date was set in stone, alot would change. I'd be crazy to see who picked the moral route vs the immoral route to "live" the rest of their days out..

Lately I have been living everyday like it's my last. Which can be good and bad. So I guess it wouldn't matter too much.

I'm conflicted on this one. Part of me would want to know and allow me to plan and do the things that are important. Another part of me wouldn't want to know as it might be too much.
There are many that know they will die due to disease and most do a lot with that knowledge. They just don't have an exact date.

The question would be, would knowing this guarantee that I could do numerous amounts of stupid shite and not die? Like since there's no preventing it would there also be no way to speed it up?

Nope, I don't want to know.
The beautiful part of this ride we call life is that we don't know when it's going to end. I don't live each day like it's my last but I do go through this life with no regrets. I enjoy waking up to face a new day of adventures. I don't want that clouded by knowing my checkout date. Counting down the days would be brutal on the mind and my emotions.

Plenty of people know when they'll die already.

I've known several people with terminal illnesses. None of them lived a joyous life after finding out they would die soon. In fact, they all seemed to be in mourning for the life they would never have.
No! I would not want to know.

I get antsy knowing I have a dentist appointment or a job interview coming up. I would literally spend every second between now and my expiration date counting down and it would be miserable.
So, no.
So, no.
