Did it in front of his home state with 2 starting pitchers that grew up playing a handful of high school games in the same stadium... Stuff that dreams are made of.

I white-knighted for him the past few years...but even I had him on the hot seat before the season started.
My only expectation for this year was to host and win our regional...which would have shown progress compared to the past few years. We haven't hosted anything since 2009.
