Just saw the show for the first time. I did not know about Archie's dad. You can see how that shaped him and how he raised his kids. Not as a celebrity, not pushy sports-father, but as a caring, loving dad. I am more impressed with him than I ever have been. Better person than a football player, which I did not know. Enjoyed the show tremendously.

It's probably my favorite documentary ESPN has done the last several years including 30 for 30.

Hated him as a little boy in '68 and '69 (but was still in awe of him); loved him from '71 on.

EASILY could have been in the HOF. '79 was the closest we came to doing something. If we had only had a better D. That team was fun to watch.
