Tournament attendance across conferences

The weekend isn't over and the sources aren't great but by my count:
Big Ten: 42,055 LINK Does not include Sunday
ACC: 53,157 LINK Does not include Sunday
Big XII: 61,007 LINK Does not include Sunday
SEC: 93,966 LINK Does not include Sunday OR Saturday
If ya'll can find better numbers - and I'm sure you can - please post them. I found box scores for all the SEC games but only half of them listed attendance numbers, they were really high compared to other conferences though.
Discuss or some shite...

Hoover is a great location.

Should be posting averages unless everyone has played the same amount of games

Those were just Nebraska games. Other games looked like this:

I'm aware. This was a pic my friend sent me from a game there.

The Big 10 tournament has had higher attendance per session. They just had fewer sessions, it appears.
They only had 8 teams come to the tournament and only had one ticket per day, FWIW.
Wednesday: over 10,000
Thursday: over 11,000
Friday: over 7,500
Saturday: over 12,300

The point of that photo is what happens when you move the tournament to a location better suited for SEC West teams which drive the attendance numbers for this tournament.
Again, just because the numbers are that high doesn't mean they couldn't be better in Memphis, Frisco, Pearl, Metairie.

Yep. From the AL article I linked to:
"The SEC, when figuring overall attendance, counts every person who attends either game in a two-game session as attending both games."
That fricks with things a little bit but I think everyone plays games with attendance numbers. Nebraska is notorious for it, to them tickets sold/given away is practically synonymous with "attended".
But this is wrong:

at least for my averages posted in the post above this one. In total the B1G will have played a 15 game tournament while the SEC will have 17 games but for the time periods and total attendance numbers in my OP both conferences had played 14 games.

I think they actually do the opposite. A ticket used for a day is only counted once. Is the SEC double counting attendees per session?

Women's Basketball does better numbers than this
When will baseball pass WBB for the #3 most popular college sport?

Yup.

It could potentially double attendance numbers if I'm understanding it correctly. If I attend game one of a two game pairing but don't attend game two I'm still counted as having attended that second game.
So 4,000 fans could attend game one and 4,000 entirely different fans could attend game two but the SEC will count the attendance as each game as being 8,000.
That's how I interpret the bit from the AL article at least. I'm an idiot though.

If 8,000 tickets are sold for a session, then they count 8,000 per game.

If LSU were eliminated early it'd look much more like the others.

Can't blame them for the low attendance. With the round robin crap they do I don't think anyone knows who is playing who and when and how a win or loss affects their teams.
