OTB fishermen, I need your help.

One of my bros had an accident and is now in a medically induced coma.
He loves to fish, especially crappie, and since I know nothing about shite like that, I was hoping someone could link me some good lures or rods or whatever I could get him for when he wakes up.

Price range?
Not being a dick. You can pay anywhere from $10-$900 for a rod or reel.
Lures would be cheaper and you could get a variety.
Oh, and the Academy sports in Cville would be better than Bass Pro.
ETA: Missed the crappie part. You can get a crappie rod and reel for about $35. They don't really vary. Do you know if he uses live bait or jigs?

I literally know nothing about fishing.
I know he's probably got a good rod and reel.
So I guess whatever would be the cool new lures or any other sort of gear would be ideal.

Well, accessories would probably be the easier route. Most fishermen are picky about lures. Frog Toggs towels, PFG stuff, and bug spray are always solid.
These are awesome
You could get a crappie jig kit from Bass Pro if you wanted to go the lure route. Honestly, your best bet is to stop in there and just ask one of the guys. They're normally pretty knowledgable on the new hot selling lures.
